Being Human, Season Four, Episode 13: There Goes the Neighborhood: Part 3

In a flashback Sally is talking about Josh and Aidan moving in and how it made her feel hopeful. Sally wonders if they would be friends if they met now.  We see a remembrance of Josh and Nora's wedding. We return to the present where Aidan is crying about losing Sally.  Aidan starts to snap Josh's neck and Sally screams no and that this has to be an accident  Ramona comes downstairs and tells Sally that it's never an accident.  Josh, Sally and Nora find themselves in one room with Aidan in another.  Aidan slams the door over and over again and Sally says that Aidan won't stop until he kills Josh.  Nora tells Sally that she cannot do magic because it's to dangerous.  Sally wonders what would happen if Aidan wasn't a vampire and she tells Josh and Nora that she loves them.

Aidan makes his way downstairs and when he approaches Josh, Sally uses her magic to throw him across the room, knocking him unconscious in the process.  They take Aidan to the bed and Sally does a spell. Sally says that there is always a sacrifice and Aidan sits up saying that she can feel his heartbeat.  Sally has gone deathly pale and she turns to Nora and says that she will be watching.  To Josh, Sally says that it's worth it and to Aidan that she wants him to have the life he deserves.  Suddenly, Sally disappears.  The house shakes and Ramona lets out a screech. When they head upstairs, Ramona is screaming that Nora, Josh and Aidan have ruined everything and promises that they are going to be in the house forever.

The roommates make it outside and away from the house.  Sally is narrating  about how the idea of home has changed to something they make for themselves. Aidan and Nora embrace, as Josh sits and stares off into space.  Nora offers to let them all stay at her new apartment but Aidan declines the offer saying that Josh and Nora need some space.  Josh talks about the many times Sally has managed to claw her way back but Aidan bursts his bubble by saying that this time he felt Sally go.  Aidan says that he doesn't know what to do and asks Josh when the last time Aidan ate food was.

They take Aidan to a burger joint and he is in ectasy over the taste of the burger.  Aidan says that it all feel strange but spectacular he does add that it's wasted because Sally had to miss it.  Later,  Aidan sits in front of the campfire drinking alone.  He says that he loves Sally and then starts smashing things in his grief.

The next morning, Aidan wakes to find himself still outside.  He heads inside but pauses when he sees his reflection in the mirror. Aidan now has grey hair.

A workman enters the house and is greeted by Ramona.  He tells Ramona that it is dangerous to be in the house and Ramona asks if he wants to see her room before running upstairs.  The workman follows Ramona upstairs and  into the hidden room. Ramona kills him and says that she shouldn't have been left alone and so is sending out a message.

Aidan is waiting for his medical test results.  Nora hands over the results and it seems that Aidan is ill. Aidan says that he's not meant to be alive but Nora points out that she saw what Sally did. Apparently, Aidan has the heart of a 90 year old man and his organs are failing.  Nora says that she is amazed that Aidan is standing in front of her right now and Aidan jokes about maybe having a week left.

Nora, Josh and Aidan are walking outside and Josh is talking about working in a restaurant.  Nora is upset and says that they should all be making plans.  Aidan reveals that he has a week to live and Josh replies that this is not something people say in real life.  Aidan believes that this is a consequence for becoming human and that this is the result of the years that he cheated. Aidan says that they should celebrate their upcoming baby and when they are shocked, Aidan reveals that he smelled it when he was still a vampire.  Aidan heads off, leaving Josh and Nora alone.  Nora admits that she wasn't sure she wanted the baby but now she does. Josh and Nora hug.

Aidan heads to the cemetery with a rose in his hand..He places a rose on Sally's grave site.  Aidan then makes his way through the city, clearly taking in every moment.  He ends up at a bar and has a vision of Sally sitting right next to him.  Aidan ends up sitting down next to a vampire and asks him what his plan is after he kills the girl he has been flirting with.  They end up walking together and Aidan advises him to get on bagged blood. The vampire asks how he can become human again and Aidan admits that this is something he wanted for centuries and now, all he can think about is going back.  Aidan attacks the vampire and tells him to turn him.

Being Human US, Season 4, Episode 12: House Hunting

Aidan drops in to see Kenny who has lots of passive aggressive hints about who really killed Astrid and makes it clear he’s not leaving town until vengeance is his. Aidan tries to talk him out of it because vengeance is totally no fun, honest. Aidan also borrows a moving van off Kenny because he likes to push it, it seems.

Back at the house, Ramona (the creepy girl ghost) is worried about them all leaving and Sally has decided to make it her mission in life to save her. Partly because she knows what it’s like to be trapped in the house and partly because she doesn’t have a life to move on to, unlike the others  who are kind of moving on. Sadly, no-one takes the opportunity to remind her that SALLY INTERVENTION ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS GOES WRONG! But Aiden will help because he’s totally not leaving without newly found true love Sally

Ramona disappears which everyone writes off as totally fine and not even slightly ominous, honest.

Josh and Sally pack and Josh looks for boxes for his things – and Nora says he can totally use hers. The big subject – is Josh moving in with Nora – is finally addressed. He doesn’t want to assume, seems to accept the awfulness of what happens and even if Sally’s little possession cure worked, he doesn’t know that for sure and understands Nora not wanting to risk this. She still wants him at her flat so they can start married life together

And in the basement after much dancing around the subject and Sally lamenting the fate of some tights, Aidan invites her to come with him – to haunt him. Ramona seethes upstairs in her room all alone.

Like any set of room mates leaving a place, they argue over communal property which is delightfully normal (why does Aidan want a coffee maker and cookware?) I love the bickering, yes yes I do. They’re arguing over a really ugly statue too.

Beatrice, Ramona’s sister shows up to double check if Aidan REALLY saw her ghostly sister. Because there’s a problem with that – see her parents were sort of devil worshippers and they summoned a big bad demon called Haymen (as you do – this was before the internet. People were much much more bored). But they needed a sacrifice. Luckily they had twins – one of which, Beatrice, they named and raised as a daughter. The other they stuck in a secret room and shut them off from the world (Beatrice named her) until they were 10 and Ramona just disappeared after another demonic party.

Ramona appears and Beatrice can see her – something Ramona puts down to them being twins. Problem is that Ramona blames her sister for her death, for not stopping it and, despite Sally et al saying otherwise, she’s not in a forgiving mood. She kills Ramona then spookily announces “she’s not part of our game.” The gang runs being not entirely stupid – but upon passing through the front door, they’re all teleported to different rooms.

Even Sally? And you’d think ghostly powers wouldn’t work on a ghost, especially a ghost with witch woo-woo.

Each of them faces something bound to cause lots of angst. Aidan is locked in with Henry – his vampire child who died from the virus – who is now a ghost (impossible since vampires can’t become ghosts). Sally is locked in the bathroom with Kat (Aidan’s ex who rejected him when he showed her his vamprieness) who says she can see her and isn’t happy. Josh gets Julia, his ex-fiancee who died when she saw he was a werewolf. Nora gets Emily, (Josh’s sister), who is drinking.

Aidan, confronted with a vampire ghost, sees a possible vampire afterlife which is a mixed blessing because over the years the only reason he hasn’t committed suicide is because he didn’t think he had an afterlife waiting – and Henry thinks Aidan should join him in order to save the future people Aidan will inevitably kill. A stake appears. And if he commits suicide… Aidan can be with Sally.

Emily tells Nora how terribad Josh is and how he’s ruined everyone’s life. A journal appears supposedly documenting Josh’s continued inability to control his wolf, the rage and the urge to kill. Emily also throws in the big surprise that Nora is pregnant – and she can’t protect her baby from Josh.

Kat wants to tell Sally how impossible a ghost/vampire romance is and how much better she is for Aidan.

Being Human, Season Four, Episode Eleven: Ramona the Pest

Sally is back in the past lying on Beatrice's bed and wonders how she got there because she didn't do magic. Sally gets off the bed and wonders if it's the possession and remembers kissing Aidan.

Josh is lying in bed, when Nora sits on the bedside telling him to take it easy because he is pretty banged up. Josh is upset that he has made new wolves and Nora assures Josh that this is not his fault because the pack made him do it.  Nora adds that hopefully Mark will cut his losses and leave them alone. Nora stands to leave, adding that she wanted to make sure that Josh was okay but she is not back.  Josh struggles out of bed and begs Nora to stay because she is the only thing that keeps him safe. Nora replies that she cannot handle that responsibility.

Sally is walking around the room and she hears Josh and Nora talking through the walls. Nora tells Josh that she cannot be the only thing that keeps him human and that she doubts that it's true.  Josh asserts that this is true and that Nora is everything to him. Suddenly, Sally enters the room surprising Josh and Nora.  Josh asks why Sally was in their closet.

Sally wakes Aidan, saying that she just discovered something big.  Aidan initially blows Sally off until he realizes that he is talking to Sally and that she is okay.  Aidan asks if Sally just shook him awake with her hands and how it is that she can touch him.  Sally explains that she woke up like this and that she doesn't remember how this happened. Aidan asks what this means and Sally replies that she doesn't know if this is temporary or not and that this is why she came downstairs.  Sally starts to caress Aidan and kiss him, telling him that they should just enjoy it.  Aidan wakes up from his dream when Nora walks in to look for something.  They have a moment of embarrassment when Nora notices Aidan's erection. Nora turns her back saying that she shouldn't be down there and most certainly not looking there (read: Aidan's crotch). Nora explains that his erection just sort of lunged from under the covers and Aidan asks what she is doing downstairs.  Nora explains that Josh said there was a sledge hammer downstairs.  Aidan asks why she needs a sledgehammer.

Upstairs, Josh uses the sledgehammer to break into the secret room.  Sally says that now that they have all seen it, they should close it up and leave. Nora says that she wished she knew about this room before and Josh talks about how it would have made a really nice craft room.  Sally says that it's odd that this room was always sealed up and suggests that maybe it was like this for a reason.  Nora admits getting bad vibes from the room and notes that someone obviously lived there.  Nora questions why the person was sealed up and hidden. Sally admit to being in the room before when she used her magic and explains that this is where she saw the cult weirdos and the little girl.  Sally adds that she someone get murdered here.  Josh points out that when she checked into it, the girl was still alive and therefore this had to all be a big mistake.  Aidan says that someone definitely died, when he pushes the bed aside and finds markings on the floor.  Aidan points to dried blood on the floorboards and Nora questions the meaning of the marks.  Aidan says that the marks are more recent.  They are interrupted by the doorbell.

When they head downstairs they find Sally's father.  Mr. Malik tells the group that he is there to make final arrangements because the house has been sold.  Apparently, the inspector will be coming and so Mr.Malik tells them that he will need the keys by the end of the week.  Aidan says that they need a little bit more time and Mr. Malike replies that Robbie told him that they were given nearly a month's notice.  Josh replies that Robbie did but after Robbie passed, they thought they would have more time.  Aidan says that they have run behind in their packing and have run into personal difficulties.  Mr. Malik informs them that this doesn't change the facts and that they cannot stay there.  Josh begs for more time and Mr. Malik says that they have until the end of the week.  Sally suggests that the group start to beg and they do but Mr. Malik replies that he needs to be rid of this house and cannot even believe he stepped back inside.  Mr. Malik tells the group that he wants their keys on Monday.

Aidan is in the basement throwing things out. Sally is shocked and Aidan says that he is cleaning out all his things.  Aidan explains that there has always been a tie from his past that has kept him from moving on and with Suzanna gone,  that's it. Sally replies that she is glad to hear him talk about Suzanna.  Aidan admits that his thoughts are drifting to Sally and how she saved his life and then kissed him.  Sally tells Aidan that he told her to.  Aidan replies that he didn't but Sally replies that the Aidan of the other timeline told her to.  Sally tells Aidan that they had a deep thing and were in love.  Sally adds that the other timeline Aidan promised that it would make him aware of his feelings for her.  Aidan admits that he did feel something but adds that they cannot do anything about it.  Aidan says that attraction between them cannot be everything and is not sure if he is willing to risk their friendship.  Aidan goes on to add that all of their relationships always end up in major disasters anyway. Aidan tells Sally that he doesn't want them to end up a massive disaster.

Astrid and Kenny are bickering when Aidan shows up. Astrid asks about Josh and then leaves.  Aidan asks if Kenny is blowing it with Astrid because she is really good for him.  Kenny reveals that he called Aidan because he wants to disappear.  Aidan tells Kenny that he is doing a really good job and points out that Kenny achieved a peace between vampires and werewolves.  Kenny argues that this isn't popular and adds that he is 17 years old and wants to live a life with Astrid. Aidan points out that running away isn't going to solve anything because Kenny's enemies are going to find him and then find Astrid.  Aidan suggests that Kenny should fake his death by first getting their hands on vampire ashes, calling a meeting and Aidan faking killing Kenny.  Aidan suggests that the vampires will scheme about filling the power vacuum that they will forget about Aidan and Kenny.  Kenny says that he is going to need help with Astrid because he doesn't think she will leave and that someone has to present a pretty clear case to her.  Kenny suggests that Aidan get Josh and Nora to talk to her.

Being Human, Season Four, Episode Ten: Oh Don't You Die for Me

Josh meets up with the werewolf pack to apologize but he is told that they are only there to see what he has to show them, not to make friends.  Josh strips off his clothing and starts to change into a wolf.

Aidan and Suzanna are hiding near the vampire club and Aidan suggests that they shouldn't be there and instead should be keeping a low profile. Suzanna says that this is why she needs him and reminds him of his recent kill.  Suzanna suggests that remorse isn't enough and that she needs to hit the Boston nest where it hurts. Suzanna points to Kenny and tells Aidan that he is going to take Kenny out because Kenny is the leader.

The next morning, Josh is making the bed and Sally tries to stall him so that he will still be there when Nora arrives to pick up her things.  Josh says that no one wants to be with a cheater with anger issues. This is especially salient given Nora's history as a survivor of intimate partner violence. Josh says that he is going to go meet up with Andrew and Caroline.  Sally asks Josh not to start a new pack and make up with Nora instead.  Josh reveals that his reality is that Nora is terrified of him.  Sally follows Josh into he hallway and sees Aidan wrapped in a towel and flashes back to their time together.  Sally tells Aidan to put some clothes on. Half naked Aidan - I approve.

At Caroline and Andrew's, they talk about their new place and that moving is about keeping April safe and sound.  Mark enters and greets Josh with a hug saying that it's good to see him there. Andrew announces that they are having a party and have invited the entire pack for a house warming. Mark says that it's a long weekend with wolves and that part of keeping April safe is keeping the pack safe.  They announce that the wolves won't do anything without Josh because he is now the pack leader.

Back at the house, Sally questions why Josh wants to change with Mark because Mark did punch him in the face.  Josh reminds Sally that he mated with Mark's wife. Sally snarks that Josh shouldn't change with Mark instead of Nora. Josh begs Sally to let it go but she replies that she cannot because he is a weird wolf thing because of her.  The two continue to bicker and Josh tells Sally that she cannot do anymore magic because they may never see her again.  Josh adds that he can deal with whatever he is now and won't lose her forever. Sally argues that this wolf is not who Josh is because that wolf chased Nora away. Josh replies that it feels good to be the alpha for once but Sally calls Josh a beta. Sally walks out of the room, just as Nora walks in.  Josh says that he is on his way out and Nora replies that it will only take her a few hours to get the rest of her stuff.  Josh tells Nora to be safe when she changes tonight and they go their separate ways. Things are really awkward between them and they can barely make eye contact with each other.

At the hospital, Suzanna says that she has finally become the nagging wife and reminds Aidan of their agreement.  Suzanna argues that every day that Kenny is alive people die and the body count is ticking up. Aidan claims that he is not interested in a suicide mission because Kenny is too well protected. Suzanna argues back that maybe killing a girl the other night must be just who he is right now.  Suanna hands Aidan the crucifix which he filed into a stake to use against Kenny.  They talk about suicide and how they have never been able to do it.  Suzanna says that if she had self discipline she would have been dead centuries ago. Suzanna walks away after telling Aidan to put an end to the new vampires.

At the pack house, Mark expresses his sorrow that thing are not good between Josh and Nora.  He tells Josh he is not the guy Nora knew but this new guy is awesome.  Really?  This new guy who terrifies this wife and almost forced himself on her.  Gee, can we all have a role model like that? Josh replies that he is looking forward to this turn.  Mark tells Josh that everyone here gets him and that Nora will turn around.  Mark says that Wendy is also taking time away from everything and Josh apologizes.  Mark promises Josh that he will never blow up again, now that he knows Josh is a special kind of wolf.  Mark adds that the wolf knows things before their human counterparts do. The conversation is interrupted and Mark introduces Josh to prospective member of the werewolf pack.  When she leaves, Josh confronts Mark because the girl is fully human and not a wolf.

Aidan heads to see Kenny and Kenny talks about how the vampires are blowing up. Kenny explains that they have a full veggie option at their new blood dens and Aidan suggests that they slow down a little.  Kenny explains that people are coming to him, asking for him to replicate his success because most of the old timers are grim.They may have been a little grim but how can anyone not embrace vampires of the corn? Aidan points out that Kenny is now sitting where Bishop sat and saying how different he is. I suppose this is Aidan's version of absolute power corrupts absolutely. Aidan reminds Kenny that he knew all of Bishop's plans and that Kenny is starting to sound like Bishop.  Kenny excuses himself for a moment and Aidan reaches in his pocket for the stake.  Before Aidan can strike, Astrid walks in. It seems that Kenny has forged a  relationship with the werewolves. Astrid and Kenny kiss after he tells her what he packed for her change. Aidan tells Kenny that he can do whatever he wants but questions  if Kenny is doing all of this for Astrid, or for himself before leaving.

Being Human, Season Four, Episode Nine: Too Far, Fast-Forward!

Aidan is holding Sally's dead body, as ghost Sally watches saying that she was meant to die with her head bashed in. Sally tells Aidan to let her go because it's not her anymore and Aidan replies that he cannot. Aidan lays Sally down and then covers her with his leather jacket.  Aidan asks if she is going to go through her door now and Sally replies that she doesn't get a door.  Aidan questions what Sally was doing there and Sally replies that she was trying to stop him from venting. Sally tells Aidan that she wishes she could hold him.  A cop car appears and Aidan tells Sally to go because she is not going to want to see what happens next. Sally resists at first but disappears when Aidan yells go.

Bishop gets out of the car saying that this is very West Side Story.  Aidan assures Bishop that he is not coming back but Bishop counters that Aidan is blood drunk with a dead wolf at his feet.  Bishop declares that he is not animal control and turns to leave and Aidan screams that Sally is not an animal  and tells Bishop that he is going to do this for him as a favor.  Bishop points out that Aidan hasn't talked to him for over a year and now intends to treat him like his foul weather friend.  Aidan argues that he has cleaned up far worse messes for him.  Bishop asks who killed his girlfriend and Aidan replies wolves.  Aidan starts to walk away and Bishop promises to make it right but adds that the friends Aidan can call at 2AM are golden.

Ray is trying to make escape plans for him and Josh but Josh is adamant that he has to go back. Ray points out that Aidan didn't lift a finger to stop it because he was drunk off his ass draining live girls.  Ray asks how many people Josh thinks that Aidan has killed.  Aidan and Bishop enter and Aidan says that Ray is the only one who has killed tonight.  Ray tells Josh that they can take Aidan and Bishop because for once it's a fair fight.  Josh yells for Ray to shut up.  Bishop calls dibs and Sally shows up begging Aidan not to do this because Josh is his friend.  Aidan reminds Sally that Josh murdered her, so Sally counters that Aidan cannot go back to being like Bishop and that if he does, everything they have together is over.  Bishop tells Aidan that the friendship was over when the wolves opened Sally's head on the pavement. Josh says that it was an accident and a mistake and that it was never meant to be like this.  Aidan grabs Ray and kills him as Josh begs for him to stop.  Sally calls Aidan a monster and Bishop dispels her.  Aidan tells Josh that when they first met, he should have let Marcus finish him off.  Josh begs for Aidan to stop but Aidan warns Josh that if he ever sees him again that he will kill him. Aidan walks away and Bishop asks if this is what Josh call justice and avenging the one he loves.  Aidan tells Bishop that he doesn't understand how much Josh hates himself and that killing him would be a mercy. Aidan taunts Josh about Nora and then says that he took his one chance to lift his curse because he killed Ray. Josh yells that living together and trying to be human was all Aidan's idea.  Bishop moves forward to kill Josh but Aidan holds him back saying that they should let Josh suffer.  Aidan walks away laughing and Josh falls to his knees crying. Bishop tells Aidan that there is no place  like home and Aidan says that he needs a drink.

One year later, Aidan is pushing a gurney and he delivers the body to Bishop.  When Aidan opens the body bag, it's filled with blood.  Neither Bishop or Aidan realise that Nora is watching.  Aidan comments that blood is getting harder to come by and Bishop suggests that they are going to have to raise the price of healthy blood.  Aidan comments that this reminds him of prohibition but Bishop argues that this is food and that people can go without whiskey but they cannot go without their bread.  Aidan says that the virus is going to make them kings.

Being Human, Season Four, Episode Eight: Rewind, Rewind...

Still in the past, Sally watches herself, tell Danny that she lost her engagement ring down the sink.  Sally screams at her past self to defend herself because Danny is going to kill her.  Sally hops into her old body and tells Danny that she is leaving him and that she doesn't have to listen to him ever again. Danny grabs her but Sally knocks him unconscious and then makes her way outside.  Sally is now at the hospital - the same hospital that Aidan and Josh work at with Bridget. When  Bridget starts questioning Sally's actions, it dawns on Sally that what she did will seriously mess with the timeline and so she begs Bridget to leave with her. Bridget tells Sally to sit and Nora approaches and asks to see Sally's wrist. When Sally comments on how good Nora looks with bangs, Nora questions if Sally hit her head when she hurt her wrist. Nora promises to send someone over with a wrist brace and leaves.  Sally says that she just wants to leave, when Aidan walks over asking to look at her arm.

Aidan takes Sally to an exam room and declares that she is going to be fine.  Sally giggles as Aidan puts a brace on her arm and instructs her not to lift anything heavy.  Aidan leaves and Bridget enters the room.

Back at the house, it's now six months later and Bridget questions why Sally bought out Danny if she has no intention of doing anything with the house.  Sally says that she just wants to keep the original charm of the place and that it is going to appeal to some specific renters.  Sally assures Bridget that she has a plan but Bridget wonders if she is just stalling. Bridget brings up the break up with Danny and Sally assures her that this has nothing to do with Danny. Sally questions why Bridget is pushing her to move on, and Bridget reveals that she is dating Danny. When Sally says that it is a bad idea because Danny is abusive, Bridget reminds Sally that she is the one who kneed Danny in the balls and punched him in the face. Sally is adamant that this is not what happened and that Danny was going to kill her.  Bridget tells Sally that she is making it difficult for them to be friends.

Sally sits on a part bench and watches Aidan and Josh hang out.  When Josh leaves, Aidan is joined by Rebekah.  Sally pauses and the scene flashes to Aidan calling for a clean up crew after killing Rebekah.

Aidan is at a bar with Rebekah and there is some heavy flirting going on. Rebekah says that she is a nice girl with a bright future.  Sally interrupts them and thanks Aidan for never calling her back and giving her raging genital warts before leaving.  Aidan turns to Rebekah and says that Sally is lying, but Rebekah grabs her things and leaves. Aidan is stunned and heads outside to find Sally waiting for him.  Sally asks for a chance to explain and she says that she is from the future so he starts to walk away.  Sally calls out that she came to stop him from killing Rebekah and that he was staring at her carotid artery.   Sally tells Aidan she knows how hard he has worked to stay on bagged blood and that Rebekah was way too much temptation. Aidan thinks that Sally is working for Bishop and Sally denies working for anyone.  Sally starts mentioning names like Henry, Surine, Celine and Issac and adds that they lived together for years in the future. Sally tells Aidan that Bishop is going to get his claws into him soon and that he is starting to slip.

Aidan and Josh are at the house and Sally is sitting on the counter top.  Aidan asks about the rent and she says eight hundred and steps back.  Josh and Aidan step aside and Josh suggests that Sally must be mentally ill but says that they need to rent this place; Aidan  agrees and Josh gets excited.  Sally interrupts to inform them that she will be living with them and walks away.  Josh starts to panic and Aidan tells him that they don't have to hide from Sally because she is just like them. Sally explains that she in tethered to her body and has all of the knowledge of what happened to them in the future.

Being Human (US) Last Season

Syfy has confirmed that this will be the last season of Being Human. I'll be sad to see it go, but at least them planning it like this will give them chance to tidy up all the storylines and not leave us with any terrible cliffhangers.

Being Human, Season Four Episode Seven: Gallows Humor

Aidan is siting outside when he is joined by Kenny.  Aidan expects Kenny to judge him because he just finished slaughtering a human but Kenny calls it a slip up and adds that one slip up does not invalidate Aidan's way of life. Kenny tells Aidan that he should become back to the office because he believes that all of the fresh blood is reeking havoc on Aidan's system. Aidan leaves asking Kenny to take care of the body

Back at the house, Sally, Josh and ghost Robbie stand over his body when Nora enters wondering what is going on. Robbie asks why he can be seen by Josh and Nora and Nora reveals that they are werewolves. Josh offers his condolences and then says that they need to figure out what to do with Robbie's body. Robbie wonders if this is really happening and asks Sally what happened to her.  Sally explains that Danny killed her. Sally beings to wonder if there is a way to bring Robbie back from the dead.  Upstairs, Josh pleads with them to wait until Aidan returns home because of the drawbacks of raising a corpse.  Sally makes it clear that she would never do to Robbie what was done to her. Sally demands that no one touch Robbie's body. Aidan enters and realises that Robbie is now a ghost and he offers his condolences to Sally.

Aidan heads downstairs to supposedly grab blood and leans over Robbie's body.  When Sally appears, she finds Aidan kneeling over Robbie's body with all black eyes. Aidan immediately apologises and Sally blows it off then brings up using magic to save Robbie.  Aidan tells Sally that her power is part of who she is now and that this is a good use of her power.  Sally reveals that she needs to summon Donna because there is no spell to save Robbie in the book.

Upstairs, Josh tells Robbie that him returning to life is between him and his sister.  Sally comes upstairs and says that she needs to go and find Donna and rejects Robbie's offer to help.  Josh and Nora volunteer to watch over Robbie and Sally leaves instructing Nora and Josh to stop Robbie from going through his door if it arrives. Robbie begs Sally not to walk out on him again and she promises that she will come back.

At a department store, Sally exists the body of a woman who she used to move a riser.  As she climes the stairs, the pilgrims appear again. Donna begs to be left alone and Sally drags her through her death spot.

Aidan pays a visit to Suzanna and he says that he needs something to control his hunger.  Suzanna says that it took her years to wean herself and hands Aidan a small bottle of blood to comsume.  The blood makes Aidan sick and he collapses across the bed.

Nora and Josh head into the kitchen and Josh assures Nora that Robbie is just terrified and not himself. Nora says that she is feeling out of her league with the whole ghost counselling. It seems that Nora is concerned about sending the message that the paranormal world is grand.  Josh admits that he has not been the same person since he was brought back and he wonders if Donna can fix him. Josh argues that it was the magic that did this to him but Nora is not convinced and argues back that the magic didn't make him like it. Nora adds that the magic didn't make him lie to her.  Robbie suddenly appears in the kitchen interrupting the conversation.

Back at the department store, Donna tells Sally that she didn't save her from anything and that as long as her death spot is intact, it's a two way door. Sally asks why Donna asked her to summon her the last time and Donna reveals that coming back through her death door forces her to relive it.  Donna says that she has a story just like Sally.  Sally says that Robbie is dead and asks for help bringing him back.  Donna replies that her magic has limits and that bringing somebody back from the other side goes against nature. Sally asks if there is another way.  The two end up in the woods and bicker about Sally's plans and the consequences of her actions.  They are transported back to Donna's death scene, where Donna is hung for being a witch.

Aidan is now passed out on Suzanna's floor and she reveals that she could smell the live blood on him and asks who it was. Suzanna has a stake in her hands and says that she is now going to force Aidan to dry out. Again with the comparison to substance abuse.

Sally and Donna are in the past and Donna reveals that they are in the year 1692, as they watch a group of women prepare for some sort of ceremony. Donna says that if this happens each time Sally time travels each time she does magic that means that the tether holding her in place will eventually snap, leaving her lost in time for good. The women now uncover past Donna's body and she explains that this is how she died twice.

Suanna pours water over Aidan to wake up and says that the pain of withdrawal is a reminder of what he has done. Aidan cowers as Suzanna asks for the name of the girl he killed. When Aidan replies that he doesn't remember, Suzanna says that remembering her name would be to honour her death.  Suzanna orders Aidan to picture the girl's face and tell her the victim's name.  Aidan says that the girl had pretty eyes and talks about how the life drained out of them. Suzanna  tells Aidan that she is not going away, so Aidan reveals the victim's name was Amy.  Suzanna demands that Aidan talk about Amy and he talks about how her blood tasted and how the life ran into his mouth.  Suzanna tells Aidan that remembering what he did and the person he did it to is what is going to stop him from killing ever again.  Aidan says that he does not understand because this is what they are and that punishing him isn't going to work because the only thing that makes him feel good is blood.

Being Human, Season Four, Episode Six: Cheater of the Pack

Josh and Wendy wake up naked in a field together and Josh wonders where everyone is and what happened last night.  Wendy explains that their animals must have taken over and that she doesn't remember everything. When Wendy moves to touch Josh, he quickly backs away, jumps up and covers himself.  Wendy says that wolves are wolves.  Josh gets up saying that they have to find everyone else, as Wendy lies down contentedly.  The wolves are gathered together in a field when Josh finds Nora.  Josh says that his wolf was tracking something to explain his earlier absence to Nora.  Nora questions this because she thought that Josh was more aware of his wolf.  The wolves chat about breakfast and Josh makes an excuse saying that he and Nora have a thing today.

Aidan is looking for blood and is shocked to find out that he is all out.  Sally questions if Aidan is okay and points out that he doesn't really need that much blood.  Sally suggests that Aidan should just look at this as a detox.  I really cannot stand the constant comparison of a vampire's need for blood to substance addiction. The two are not even closely related. Aidan says that he will think of something and Sally is concerned that it be something safe.  Nora and Aidan arrive and Nora is trying to understand how it is that Josh can change with the other wolves but refuses to share a meal with them.  Josh says that he just wanted to come home.

The doorbell rings and it's Robbie, Sally's brother.  Sally is shocked to see her brother.  Robbie says that he is helping his father out with the house and informs them that they have 30 days to either buy it or vacate. Robbie points out that 30 days is the law, when Aidan complains about how little time they are being given. In the background, Sally says that she doesn't believe that her father would actually want to sell the house now and wonders if this sudden change had to do with drugs. Robbie admits that he has advised his father to sell the house and that the place is depressing for his father. Robbie asks Aidan, Nora and Josh to tells Sally what is going on and adds that he would like them to clean up the house. When Aidan points out that plumbing is sub par, Robbie says that he will be fixing the house up over the next couple of days and leaves adding that he will take 300,000$ for the house as is.

Josh and Nora are at a takeaway and Nora tells Josh she knows he is not ready to leave the house.  Josh admits he wants to stay but adds that none of them can actually afford to buy it.  Nora says that part of her isn't ready to leave either. Nora tells Josh that she wishes he didn't have to deal with so much change right now and Josh questions if they do indeed have a choice.  Nora is quick to say that they are not ready and assures Josh that Sally and Aidan are their family but she has seen couples in the pack who are making it work and she wants that for them someday.  Josh questions if they should move out on their own and adds that they shouldn't have to put their lives on hold after everything he has put Nora through.

Back at the house, Sally suggests that Aidan eat everyone who comes to see the house, which causes Aidan to tell Sally that suggesting he eat people is not a good diea.  Sally then says that she could bust all of the pipes.  When Nora and Josh return, Sally explains her plans to make the house appear haunted.  Aidan brings up the fact that there have been a couple of fires in the house they can tell the realtor about and asks what plans Josh and Nora have come up with.  Josh admits that there might not be a plan that works for all of them and says  that the reason he and Aidan moved into the house was to find a place where they could be normal. Josh adds that he has done that and is now a married man thus making it a logical step for him and Nora to move and find a place of their own.

Aidan follows arrows and Suzanna stops him saying that he is better than black market blood.  Aidan reminds Suzanna that he told her to get the hell out of town and Suzanna snarks that he is no longer her lord and master. Aidan reminds Suzanna that she is not safe but Suzanna is not ready to leave Boston yet. They bicker lightly for a few minutes about Aidan's heartbreak and Aidan wonders how Suzanna knows about Cat.

Robbie is brings a couple to see the house and Sally gets up and throws something on the ground.  Robbie picks it up, as the couple start to wonder if the seller would be flexible on his thirty day waiting period for possession of the house. Robbie promises the couple that he is sure he can work something out and suggests they should talk numbers.  Sally starts to do a spell which causes the house to stink and the couple rushes out of the house.  Sally follows the couple out of the house and finds herself in 2009 with Robbie and Danny talking about the house.  Danny asks Robbie if he wants Sally to mooch off their family the way he does.  A live Sally pops outside and Danny heads in the house.  Robbie asserts that Danny is a creep and Sally tells him not to piss on her excitement.

Suzanna and Aidan are walking and she says that she is sorry about Cat.  Aidan tells Suzanna about Josh and Nora moving out and that living with them helped him want to be something better.  Suzanna suggests that Aidan is afraid to be alone.  Aidan bends over in pain and says that he needs to eat something.

Josh meets with Wendy and mentions that he and Nora are moving.  Wendy tells Josh that he made her feel like a whore in a Russian spy love and that she doesn't understand why he is upset because they didn't do anything wrong.  Josh points out that they're both married to other people and Wendy argues back that they're animals.  Wendy says that during the change she feels more connected with herself and that it is a sensual experience.  Wendy wonders if Josh is open to new possibilities and Josh asks if she and Mark are swingers. Wendy reveals that she hasn't told Mark yet and adds that they are a new kind kind of pack - forward thinkers.  Josh argues that they are accountable for what their wolves do and adds that what happened was wrong.  Wendy says that her relationship with Mark is built on honesty.  Josh begs Wendy not to say anything and Wendy suggests that Mark and Nora could find out from their wolves.  Wendy tells Josh that he has to make peace with what his wolf wants before it eats him alive.

Being Human US, Season 4, Episode 5: Pack it Up, Pack it In

Aidan’s big revelation is still causing Kat lots of joy and laughter before dissolving into worry when she realises that Aidan actually believes he’s Dracula. Aidan finally clues in that no reasonable person will actually take his word that he’s a vampire so holds her head to his chest – and she hears no heartbeat. She rather frantically checks his neck for a pulse. She’s a little freaked out – and she leaps back across the room when he blacks his eyes. Then she faints

When she wakes up there’s tears and hugs and pushing away and dramatic music – and the questions about trust and how many people has Aidan killed. Oops, hard question. And she pulls a knife when he gets too close, she’s not thrilled by the whole “it’s not me anymore” as an excuse. She tells him she’s scared – of him – and he offers to leave. She’s very eager to take him up on that offer.

On to the wolves with Nora and Josh dropping in on Andrew and Caroline to check in on their werebaby, April. Mark and Wendy are also visiting and are fellow werewolves (worse, Mark is a hugger- not just a hugger but a hugger who goes in for the hug on first meeting. Get the silver bullets). Mark also goes out looking for werewolves because he wants COMMUNITY, yeah, Josh not a fan of that. Once Huggy and Silent leave, they can all be all gushy around the baby. Though Caroline has a sad moment that the pregnancy was so quick and worry filled they didn’t get to do all the standard pre-natal stuff: decorate a nursery, baby showers etc. Of course Nora volunteers to Baby Shower

And back home realises what a bad idea that was – and Josh hates Mark the Huggy, interpreting his “wrestle hug” as a dominance gesture. Josh tries to drag Aidan into the baby shower but he’s clearing out and adding some moping since Kat is now moving out of Nora’s apartment and is probably not talking to any of them any more. Josh tries to cheer him up which doesn’t work and he points out to Nora that since Aidan is immortal he can mope forever. Yes I laughed.

Aidan goes upstairs to mope and to be taunted by the murdered blood-stained underwear-clad ghosts Beth and Holly before Sally shows up and banishes them (deriding them as “bitches” when, really, they kind of have a right to a grudge). Aidan is angry by this – those were necessary for him to properly wallow in self-hatred to reach proper Hootie status. As he begins his rant about how evil he is Sally just teleports out – no-one has time for that.

And at the door appears – Josh’s sister! Yes she’s out of the plot box! And out of rehab – and wants to crash with them for a few days. Which means she’s part of the baby shower with lots of terrible babbling due to nervousness – and Mark arrives bringing more people (werewolves) without telling anyone which makes Josh’s heckles rise. Josh asks Andrew about this – and it’s Andrew’s idea, he’s thinking about joining Mark’s sorta-pack. Josh thinks that’s a hella bad idea, but Andrew is worried about keeping April safe; particularly against vampires who are growing in numbers again.

Aidan goes wandering through town angsting away and Kenny catches up with him – perfectly summing up what Aidan is doing, much to Aidan’s annoyance who lashes out that Kevin knows nothing about it. Hah, but he got Aidan pegged exactly. And he invites Aidan round to step #2 of the pity party – a fridge full of bagged blood so he can drown his sorrows. Why do I think this is a bad idea?

The party at the house grows – this pack is huge (hey, at least Josh gets a compliment on the devilled eggs) and Sally returns – having just spent a magic caused 4 days in 2001 watching teenager Josh (Josh finds this cool rather than a spooky invasion of privacy) with teenaged Julia getting it on for the first time (see my creepy invasion of privacy comment). And Emily is having problems with the huge party and the vast amount of booze all of Mark the Hugger’s friends have invited

Being Human (US), Season 4, Episode 4: The Panic Womb

Time for their wonderful, normal lives – including Josh exercising all the time and trying to keep a track of wolf triggers and Nora holding things together and making allowances. Those allowances also extend to Josh having, as Sally puts it, the attention span of a dog in a field full of squirrels. This also makes him unsuitable to help Sally find out about the little girl who died she keeps seeing in magic visions. Sally has dubbed the child Lil’ Smokie so I’ll run with that.

Aidan is having a wonderful dream about Kat – including turning her into a vampire to prove his eternal commitment to her – and a whole lot of sex which is interrupted most abruptly by Kenny. Aidan is not amused (kids always interrupt at the worst time). His ex-wife Suzanna, not-that-he’s-telling-anyone-that has just killed 10 more vampires – and since his men have seen Suzanna watching Aidan Kenny, naturally, assumes she’s after him. Aidan continues to deny all knowledge

Awww he’s just worried about Aidan – which causes all kinds of guilt so Aidan lets him leave by the front door and not sneak out the window. Which means Josh and Nora learn that Kenny’s still alive and not dead after nearly killing Nora as Aidan had promised them. They’re not thrilled but Aidan responds with sense, apology AND firmness; they’ve all made mistakes and needed second chances, he has to be responsible for the creature he created and, yes he lied but they wanted him to murder his son so not entirely unexpected. Josh is outraged and angry – but Nora (the new awesome Nora) is well aware of what she and Josh, as werewolves, have nearly done when out of control. Josh listens but he leaves – having to run and not deal with it.

Sally is pursuing her investigation by bothering Zoe. Zoe is hardly thrilled given the number of times Sally has been involved in terrible things happening to her. Sally babbles at Zoe until she gives in –it’s a surprisingly effective tactic.

That doesn’t mean Zoe can’t be passive aggressive and snarly. But then, even when she didn’t have good reason to be pissed at Sally she was already pretty passive aggressive and snarly. She does find out that Lil’ Smokey’s real name is Beatrice and that her parents moved to Brooklyn.

Road trip to Brooklyn! They find the Bensons – only to find Mr. and Mrs. Benson are apparently dead. But Beatrice – Lil’ Smokey – is surprisingly alive, along with her daughter. Zoe makes up an excellent cover story to ask all about Beatrice, the neighbourhood, her past – and everything seems stunningly normal. They get nothing, much to Sally’s frustration; Zoe considers the case closed, no way is Sally going to drop it

On Josh’s run his wolf senses kick in and he runs up to Caroline, rather startling her. She’s heavily pregnant – and a werewolf. She welcomes the chance to unload to someone who understands and tells him all about her – she and her husband Andrew were attacked by a werewolf 3 months ago; they’re both werewolves and aren’t thrilled by it. But, on the plus side, becoming a werewolf made them able to conceive after a long time trying and failing. On the more questionable side, she’s 3 months pregnant and she looks full term. Obviously, she hasn’t seen a doctor and Josh offers Nora’s help since Nora and Josh are nurses.

Being Humans, Season Four, Episode Three: Lil' Smokie

 

The episode begins at a flashback to Sally's death scene.  She fights back and then Donna appears and kills Sally's former lover saying that they make a good team. 

Sally, Aidan and Josh are in the kitchen and Sally is looking for the grimoire trying to find out what she is now and what she can do.  Aidan makes it clear that he thinks she should get rid of it.  Nora walks in and snarks about a decorating spell.  It seems that spells keep appearing and disappearing in the book.  Aidan tells Sally that blood magic comes with a huge price and Sally argues back that she only did blood magic to save Josh.  Sally says that she can learn to control what is inside her and asks everyone to just trust her.

Aidan and Josh are walking together and they are discussing the excuse Aidan made for Josh to be absent from work.  Aidan also tells Josh that his sister is in rehab.  Josh worries that it is because of what happened to him and Aidan says knowing the truth about vampires and werewolves kicked off a binge.  Josh of course blames himself and Aidan reminds him that he was incapacitated. As they approach the hospital, they see a van pulling in for Sapp & Sons.  Aidan explains that the funeral home opened under new management but that he has stayed out of what the new regime is doing.  Aidan announces that it is time to give the vampires a lecture on over dipping and leaves.  The van suddenly pulls up behind Aidan and two vampires jump out and try to kidnap him. Aidan holds his own until one of them puts a gun to his head.  Aidan is grabbed and pushed into the back of the van.

At the funeral home, Kenny pulls the hood off of Aidan's head and apologizes for the way that Aidan was grabbed. Kenny tells the vampires that he wanted Aidan to have an escort and not be kidnapped.  Aidan asks about Kenny's face and Kenny replies saying that time healed his face.  We also learn that vampires can procreate naturally now.  Kenny tells Aidan that it's time for a tour of the operation.

Josh is at work and is having difficulty concentrating because he is overwhelmed by the sounds.  A doctor calls Josh to help him with a patient and Josh struggles at first but is able to help the patient. 

Sally is still reading through her grimoire and she finds a spell to bring back her door.  As soon as she finds the spell it's starts to disappear. Sally quickly begins to say the spell and instead of her door, Donna appears.  Sally is shocked and explains that she was trying to call back her door.  Donna tells Sally that if something seems to good to be true, it probably is. Sally realises that Donna put that spell in the book and asks if there is a spell to bring back a door.  Sally yells that maybe Donna didn't get a door but she did get a door.  Donna warns that they are more connected now than ever and the more Sally practices  magic, the closer they get.  Donna tries to bind Sally and take her back but Sally uses her power to set both Donna and the book on fire, causing them both to disappear.

Kenny takes Aidan to what he calls Boston's newest alive blood venue.  Kenny explains that the vampires who came back after the virus don't want to be skulking away.  Aidan asks Kenny how he pulled this off and Kenny says that he stepped into the vacuum using tricks he taught himself.

Nora is back from getting new wallpaper and Sally explains what happened with Donna.  Sally adds that the spells are burnt into her and are a part of her now.  Nora asks how Donna tricked her and Sally explains about trying to call up her door.  Nora is shocked to hear about Sally trying to call up her door and Sally explains that she cannot stay there for eternity.  Sally brings up the fact that Nora and Josh are going to move away soon and no one knows what Aidan is going to do.  Sally questions what happens in 100 years when the house falls down.  Nora tells Sally that she knows Sally will do whatever she wants but warns that there could be serious blow back.  Sally asks if calling up her door is going to tarnish her soul and turn her into a necromancer.  Nora says that no one can be corrupted unless they want to be corrupted. Nora starts hanging wallpaper and Sally looks at the scars on her abdomen. Sally tells Nora that she always admired Nora because she got out and she never did.  Nora assures Sally that she would have if she had more time. Nora suggests that with all of the spells, Sally could turn out to be the strongest of them all.

Josh is still at the hospital and is now talking to the doctor he worked to save the patient with.  Josh is once again having difficulty concentrating because the noise is overpowering. Josh claims to be having an allergy attack to get out of the conversation.  Josh heads outside to get some fresh air and he fixates on a gargoyle on the building.

Aidan is at the club with Kenny and he says that he is waiting for Kenny to ask for something.  Kenny says that he through him in the dumpster and ran.  Aidan points out that he almost killed Nora and Kenny reminds Aidan that he was starving.  Kenny says that he brought Aidan here to prove that he is not a monster.  Aidan acknowledges that what Kenny has accomplished is amazing.  Kenny asks Aidan to help him to run Boston but Aidan turns him down saying that leadership comes down to kill or be killed.  Aidan grabs his bag and leaves.  

Josh's body is covered in sweat and he is running on a trail.  When a man runs in front of him, Josh's predator instinct kicks in and he finds himself chasing the man.  Josh's eyes turn yellow and he barely manages to stop before attacking.

Being Human (US) Season 4, Episode 2: That Time of the Month

Sad music montage: Aidan hugs Suzanna on the doorstep because she can’t come in even when he invites her – she burns when she tries. Sally expositions her new shiny powers to Josh the wolf (pyro thing and extra-dimensional child murder witnessing. Not the greatest skill set). Josh gets all agitated  that she’s there and Nora comes running to calm him down.

She asks Sally not to hang around the wolf cage because when Josh gets excited he hurts himself on the silver cage; Nora also shifts to despair, they’ve been trying to bring Josh back for three months and have achieved nothing. Sally thinks she can help Josh but Nora has little hope and a whole lot of fear. But, as Sally points out, what alternative do they have?

Aidan and Suzanna talk and try to adapt – firstly to both of them in modern clothes (I like this touch – if she’s been remembering him in 18^th century clothes, it’s a jarring mental image to see him in a leather jacket and jeans. Or her in trousers). But why is Suzanna not dead? Flashback time to her drowning – only this time she’s pulled out of the water by Bishop. Yes, the vampire who made Aidan also made Suzanna – and she wasn’t especially thrilled by this, especially since her experience with Aidan showed how much he loathed what he was. She’s also not eager to feed. Bishop, you sure can pick ‘em

Sally has another vision, of a ruined house (Donna’s I believe) she explores while we keep cutting to her as she would appear to someone else (who could see ghosts), miming her actions on an empty green lawn. She finds a grimoire, the writing only appearing when she touches it – and yes, she can touch and lift it.

In the present, Aidan has some angst for Suzanna because he abandoned their child – but at least she looked him up; he died a grandfather which causes Aidan to have to sit down in shock at his offspring’s fertility. At this less than ideal moment, Sally arrives to show off her book-holding skills and mocking Suzanna before she realises she can see Aidan. Aidan only introduces her as a friend – to which Sally instantly dismisses her and teleports to the woods, expecting Aidan to follow.

He does and he’s very very wary of Sally leaping into magic with so little experience and so much confidence (but that’s kind of Sally’s thing – she is extremely confident, she does leap in without checking and she’s not even slightly cautious). Aidan is pretty scathing of Sally’s talents (and the comments about the hair and teeth were unnecessary. The comments about Sally biting his stomach of is much more to the point). They both appeal to Nora to make the decision: Sally again pointing out that they don’t have much choice while Aidan very much afraid of the side effects. Nora sides with Sally.

Much snark and bickering as they prepare the ritual, gather what they need and Sally reveals they need menstrual blood (quickly driving Aidan from the scene. Aidan, you drink blood, you cannot possibly be squeamish about periods). Next awkward moment – Aidan knows Nora’s on her time of the month because he can actually smell it much to just about everyone’s mutual horror and embarrassment (it has to be noted that their happy share calendar we saw last week did include Nora’s notes of when her period was) and the realisation that Aidan has ALWAYS known. Aidan walks off just chanting “no no no no no” while Nora takes care of that business.

A little look to see what the next episode of Being Human has in store for us

Being Human (US) Season 4, Episode 1: Old Dogs, New Tricks

We ended the last season with so many cliffhangers it was less “cliffs” and more “hanging perilously by one finger from the very top of Everest”, so let’s see how they manage to put all of this back together again.

Sally, despite last being seen falling down a nasty pit, is now having a cucumber spa facial. The after-afterlife doesn’t look so bad. Except Donna seems to be her spa buddy – though Sally is giving her the silent treatment.

Aiden is having much less fun – running through the woods chased by an angry werewolf. In daylight (I assume Josh). However there seems to be a plan, as he screams for Nora and she collects a gun, Aidan leads wolfyJosh into a trap (baited with a goat) and manage to trap him behind silver bars. Nora reflects on baiting her husband with a goat for her honeymoon.

Well, those mental images aren’t going away any time soon.

Nora and Aidan are camping in a caravanette in the woods, presumably to be near poor wolfyJosh. Apparently they’ve made an entire daytime activity of releasing the perma-werewolf and then running away from him while he tries to kill you: or they need to do it three times a day just to keep Josh calm.

See, this is the problem with getting pets without proper research – you never realise how much energy they take.

Aidan is playing in happy denial land, sure that Josh totally recognises him while trying to chew off his legs and he’s just annoyed at being stuck in wolf form. I mean, who hasn’t tried to rip off a few limbs when you’re in a bad mood, right? Nora, a werewolf herself, is less convinced that Josh even has moods or thoughts while he’s a werewolf – because werewolves don’t. Aidan’s delusion also stretches to Sally, while Nora is losing hope. But she hugs Aidan for comfort which shows how much these characters have grown together.

Back to the spa, with Donna and Sally being friendly, connected and Donna explaining that Sally made the spa. Sally starts to lose her glee as Donna explains how things are – Donna explains things, Sally starts to freak out and creates a happy space: the spa. And they’ve done it several times over; because Sally wasn’t really ready to face where they really are. Which is when Sally’s arm in the water is suddenly coated in blood

Exposition! They’re connected because of their mutual killing thing, but Donna dragged her to the spa!pit to save the world. Very dramatic – but because both of them have dodged death for so long (especially Donna) they have risked reality and it’s naughty/bad/wrong apparently. Having finally realised that (took her several centuries), Donna has decided to take them both out of the equation to stop them doing any more damage – and by destroying Sally’s death-spot (where she died), she’s dropped them both in a “holding cell”. Sally questions her own presence but Donna thinks Sally has power – and is awfully reckless in the using of said power.

Donna’s end plan is apparently oblivion – they stay imprisoned until she figures out how to destroy them both. Her plan is probably not that popular with Sally.

Back in the woods Nora dresses up and goes to see Josh – non-wolfy Josh. They have 30 minutes in which to enjoy Josh’s humanity (which they do). Afterwards they have time to kiss goodbye before Nora has to leave and shift in the full moon.

Josh, not needing to shift, goes to see Aidan for hugs, beer and bonding. (And a brief revelation that the plague is now over, all vampires inoculated). Josh talks painfully about being a perma-wolf (or every time the sun is up anyway – or any time that isn’t the full moon) and again repeats a request he’s made before – he wants Aidan to kill him. Nora and Aidan, running Josh ragged while paying for the house, trying to keep their jobs and not even having time to find Sally is a pretty damn huge to do list and there’s no way they can keep it up. He grabs Aidan’s emergency silver knife. And Aidan doesn’t stop him, which seems to restore Josh to his senses. He doesn’t kill himself but Josh still worries that they can’t keep it up and someone’s going to get hurt.

To add to the angst, Kat texts Aidan – another part of his life that is, presumably, falling apart while he tries to explain why he is camping in the woods and skipping out on important events for her. Josh, with excellent banter, convinces Aidan to go to her – though it will be next month before Josh is human again.

Back to the afterlife and Sally has done some thinking: Donna destroyed her death spot dragging them down, so can’t she use Donna’s death spot to return? She twists her illusory spa, which is dramatic and nifty – and binds Donna in vines when she tries to interfere, leaving her only able to shout in protest (now there’s some power). The pool is turned into a bloody vortex which she approaches – and is suddenly hanging from the neck. First in her haunting spa….

…and then hanging from the ceiling of a supermarket. A nice normal supermarket… which is then filled with puritans screaming at her for being a devil, then she flashbacks to ye olden times (and briefly flashes back into Donna, who, it seems, was hanged as a witch) before back to the supermarket. Loosening the rope, Sally teleports away from the angry ghostly puritans which are no fun at all.
